To manipulate images in the viewer

The Viewer allows you to manipulate the active image in the viewer from two places:

You can also use the sizing options available on the drop-down list in the status bar at the bottom of the image. These options are:

Note: Image manipulation rules do not apply when in text editing mode. The Document menu is not available.

To manipulate the current image in the viewer, use the following procedures:

Select...

View the image in its actual size

Actual Size from the Document menu

OR

The Actual button from the toolbar.

View the entire image

Best Fit from the Document menu

OR

The Best Fit button from the toolbar.

View the entire height of the image

Fit to Height from the Document menu

OR

The Fit to Height button from the toolbar.

View the entire width of the image

Fit to Width from the Document menu

OR

The Fit to Width button from the toolbar.

Enlarge the image

Zoom In from the Document menu

OR

The Zoom In button from the toolbar.

Reduce the image

Zoom Out from the Document menu

OR

The Zoom Out button from the toolbar.

Select an absolute zoom factor, such as 25%

Zoom in on a selected area of the image

Rubberband Zoom from the Document menu.

Rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise from the original orientation

Rotate Right from the Document menu

The Rotate Right button from the toolbar.

Rotate the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise from the original orientation
