Links from the Deficiency Worklist

The deficiency worklist for each type of deficiency (signature, dictation, and missing text) contains a grid with information for each deficiency. See Information on the Deficiency Grid. Some of the fields in the grid provide links to document images or document lists. These links allow fast access to additional information you may need to process deficiencies.

From the deficiency worklist window, you can have a maximum of two other viewers active in addition to the Deficiency Viewer.

This table provides the name of the link and description of what the system displays when you click the link for a non-EMPI enabled enterprise:

This link...	Displays the...
Encounter	First document image for the encounter. The document tree displays a list of all documents for the encounter.
Document	Signature deficiencies: Page in the document with the deficiency or the pages associated with the deficiency that should also be reviewed. See Exceptions in Processing Signature Deficiencies). Missing text deficiencies: Page in the document with the deficiency. Dictation deficiencies: First document in the chart for the encounter.
Patient name	List of documents for the patient sorted by encounters or document name (in chart order). Encounters are sorted by admit date, most recent first.

For EMPI-enabled enterprises, this table provides the name of the link and description of what the system displays when you click the link:

This link...	Displays...
Patient name	All records across all facilities for the patient. Encounters are sorted by admit date, most recent first.
MRN	All records for the facility associated with the current deficiency.
Encounter	The first document image for the encounter. The document tree displays a list of all documents for the encounter. (This is the same functionality as for non-EMPI enabled enterprises.)
Document	The same functionality as for non-EMPI enabled enterprises.
