Edit Menu and Toolbar Items

The Edit menu on the viewer is available when in text editing mode for documents such as transcriptions. It provides cut/copy/paste capabilities for editing text when you are completing signature deficiencies. The Edit menu contains the items in the following list. When menu items have a corresponding button on the toolbar, the button icon is provided, as are any accelerator keys.

Item descriptions

The following list describes the menu and toolbar items:

Undo (Ctrl+Z)

Cancels the last edit action

Redo (Ctrl+Y)

Reverses the last undo action.

Cut (Ctrl+X)

Removes the selected text and saves it in the clipboard.

Copy (Ctrl+C)

Retains the selected text and copies it to the clipboard.

Paste (Ctrl+V)

Places the contents of the local clipboard into the document at the cursor insertion point.
