Deficiencies Menu and Toolbar Items

The Deficiencies menu on the viewer provides the menu items in the following list. When menu items have a corresponding button on the toolbar, the button icon is provided, as are any accelerator keys.

Note: The Deficiencies menu and toolbar items are available when a deficiency is displayed in the viewer. The Edit menu only applies when in text editing mode for a signature deficiency.

Item descriptions

The following list describes the menu and toolbar items:

Complete

Completes the active deficiency. (Toggles with the Sign button.)

Sign (Alt+D)

Signs (completes) the active signature deficiency. This is enabled only when the page with the signature deficiency is displayed in the viewer. If the deficiency has multiple pages to view and you are not on the page with the deficiency, this button is disabled and the Next Page button is enabled, facilitating navigation. (You can also use Next Page from the Pages menu/toolbar.)

Next

When the deficiency has multiple pages to view, and you are not on the page with the deficiency, this button is enabled, facilitating navigation. (You can also use the Next Page button from the Pages menu/toolbar.)

Previous

When the deficiency has multiple pages to view, and you are not on the page with the deficiency, this button is enabled, facilitating navigation. (You can also use the Previous Page button from the Pages menu/toolbar.)

Skip (Alt+K)

Skips the active deficiency, which remains in the physician's worklist.

Decline (Alt+X)

Displays the Decline Deficiency window that allows you to enter the reason you are declining the deficiency. If you click OK, the module processes the deficiency and returns you to the deficiency list. If you click Cancel, the module returns you to the same, unprocessed deficiency.

Next Text Box (Alt+T)

Navigates the cursor to the next text box for multiple missing text deficiencies on a page.

Medical Record Viewer (Alt+M)

Provides a list of all documents for the MRN in an additional viewer.

Encounter Viewer (Alt+E)

Provides a list of all documents for the encounter in an additional viewer.

Auto Sign (Alt+A)

Allows you to begin the Auto Sign process for reviewing and completing signature deficiencies in a timed display. When you click this button, the system displays the AutoSign toolbar. The 'handle bar' at the left side of the toolbar allows you to reposition the toolbar. The viewer saves the new position across viewer sessions.

Stop (Alt+S)

Allows you to interrupt the Auto Sign process. When you click Stop, the Continue button replaces this icon.

Continue (Alt+C)

Allows you to continue the Auto Sign process.
