Content Panel Tab Options

Tab options on the Content panel of the viewer are described in this list.

Note: Tabs can be displayed in more than one row, depending on the number of tabs. When you click a tab in the 'back' row, the entire row is brought to the front. This is standard Windows functionality. Tabs for record views behave in the same way.

Item descriptions

The following descriptions identify the functions of the tab options:

Patient information

Provides patient demographic and contact information.

Encounter information

Provides information about the encounter, including: patient name and MRN, encounter-specific information (admission, discharge, facility, service, patient type), medical information, and encounter security.

Page information

Scanned or COLD TIF image information: filename and path, file type, height, width, dots per inch (DPI), bits per pixel, compressed file size (in bytes). COLD image in text mode information: filename, file type, file size (in bytes). This function is available for users defined as an Administrator.

Def. Info. (deficiency information)

Provides information about the deficiency, including: patient name, MRN, and DOB, encounter information (admission, discharge, facility, diagnoses), deficiency-specific information (type, document, status, days deficient, assigned to, and deficiency reason).

Bookmarks

Displays individual items for each bookmarked page. Information includes the document type, encounter number, admission date/time, subtitles, and page number.

Documents

Provides a list of all documents for the encounter or for the MRN across encounters (when the patient name is selected from the search window or when accessing the Medical Record Viewer).

Deficiency

Provides the document associated with the deficiency for signature and missing text deficiencies; for dictation deficiencies, displays the document type for the deficient document. (This is the default for the Deficiency Viewer.)

Assignment

Provides the document linked to the assignment, if any. (This is the default for the Assignment Viewer.)

Record view

Provides a tab for each record view set up for you. This determines which documents are displayed in the document tree. Record view tabs are available in the Medical Record Viewer, Encounter Viewer, and from the Documents tab in other viewers. (The record view you selected last is displayed when you next access the viewer type.)
